Privacy policy
Sample policy A short, plain policy for the booking form, written for this demo site.
What this covers
This policy covers the booking form on this website and what happens to the details you send through it.
What we ask for
The booking form asks for:
- what’s wrong with your door, and any details you add
- your town
- the day and time of day you’d like us to come
- your name and phone number
- your email address, if you choose to give it
Why we ask
Only to arrange your repair: to call you back, confirm a time and send a technician to the right place. We don’t use your details for marketing.
Who sees it
Only the people arranging and carrying out your repair. We never sell or share your details.
Your request reaches us as an email to our booking inbox. The service that delivers it only passes it on to us. It doesn’t keep your details or use them for anything else.
How long we keep it
We keep a booking request for 12 months after your visit, so we can look up the work if you call about the same door again. Then we delete it.
If you’d like your details deleted sooner, just ask and we’ll do it within 7 days.
While you fill in the form
Your browser keeps what you’ve typed in this tab, so a refresh doesn’t lose it. It’s cleared when you send the form or close the tab, and nothing leaves your device until you press send.
Cookies and other services
This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads its fonts from Fontshare and its animation code from cdnjs and unpkg. Like any website, those services see your device’s IP address when a page loads.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete the details you sent us, email info@example.com or call (813) 555-0177.
About this sample
Halyard Garage Door Co. is not a real company, and the booking form on this site doesn’t send anything. A real business needs its own privacy policy, checked by a professional.
